Mayor's Office is governed by the city of Ripley in Mississippi, which has a population of more than 5,470 residents. The city has a fire department that works with a team of more than 50 staff members and maintains over five pumpers and rescue and brush vehicles, as well as responds to nearly 120 emergency calls annually. It also operates a Parks & Recreation Department that works to provides opportunities for residents to participate in sports activities, such as basketball, softball, soccer, football and baseball. The department also administers several programs for youths, adults and senior citizens. In addition, the city of Ripley maintains a public works department.
