Located in Richland, Miss., Richland High School is a public school that provides coaching and training in a variety of athletic activities, such as cheerleading, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, football, softball, and track and field. It conducts academic classes in a variety of subjects, such as history, language arts, foreign languages, math, science, business and technology studies, family and consumer science, and health and physical education. Richland High School maintains s student council, choir, and beta and excel clubs. In addition, it operates a SADD Club, which provides students with prevention and intervention tools to deal with the issues of underage drinking, drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions. Richland High School teaches students in grades 7 through 12 and is a part of the Rankin County School District.
