Southaven Police Department
The Southaven Police Department has served the citizens and community of Southaven, Miss., since 1980, when the city was founded. The department employs approximately 70 sworn officers in several divisions, including administration, patrol, traffic, K-9, criminal investigations, juvenile investigations, narcotics, public relations, SWAT, negotiations and training. It sponsors a number of community programs, such as peer counselors, the Be A Winner drug awareness program and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Southaven boasts a crime rate that is well below national and state averages.
