The Northwestern College Child Development Center believes in "child care and preschool that nurtures mind, body and soul." This private, but open to the public, child care facility is nestled into the Eagle Crest Senior Living center off Lincoln Drive. Serving children 16 months to 5 years of age, the staff comes with a depth of knowledge and experience in child care and every teacher is licensed in early childhood education. Directors say at the Northwestern College Child Development Center that they "believe children learn through play and it is the adult's responsibility to provide activities for children to grow in different areas." Northwestern students majoring in early childhood education also help assist staff with the toddlers and pre-schoolers.
