History
United Jiu Jitsu Head Coach and Owner Stan Riser began teaching Karate/Taekwondo in 2005. While employed as a Karate Instructor, Coach Riser was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2007. By 2009, he was instructing both Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. With over 2 decades of combined competition, training and teaching experience, Coach Riser was prepared to open his own studio. In 2017 United Jiu Jitsu was established. There, he specializes in teaching ages 3 and up. Drawing from his experiences, UJJ's curriculum blends elements of wrestling in the Jiu-Jitsu program and combines Boxing with Taekwondo in the Kickboxing program. At UJJ's North Saint Paul location, Coach Riser continues to teach martial art, self-defense and fitness classes. UJJ hosts other events such as birthday parties, game nights, fundraisers and more.
