Plymouth Park Maintenance Division is operated by the Parks and Recreation Department of the city of Plymouth, Minn. The division maintains and improves city parks, special-use facilities, playfields, trails and outdoor skating rinks. The city owns more than 1,000-acres of parkland, and its park system consists of community playfields, large multipurpose city parks, small neighborhood parks, and a skate park. The city also owns several pieces of undeveloped open space throughout the community. The Parks and Recreation Department comprises other divisions and facilities, including recreation division, Plymouth Creek Center and Fieldhouse, and Plymouth Ice Center. Its recreation division offers year-round programs, classes, concerts, events, trips, team sports and sport instruction for youth, adults and families. The city s capital improvement program brings together plans for capital expenditures for streets, water system, sanitary sewer system, park system, water resources and public buildings.
