Pho Mai is a Vietnamese restaurant that originated from the culinary passion of a family who immigrated to Minnesota from Vietnam in 1980. With their love for cooking, they opened MT Noodles in Brooklyn Park and later expanded their successful concept to focus on their top-selling dishes, such as Pho and Com Banh Mi, resulting in the birth of Pho Mai in Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota Campus. Since then, they have continued to expand their presence, opening locations in Eden Prairie and planning to bring Pho Mai Express to Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN.
The owners of Pho Mai, Michael and Mai, met while attending the University of MN and were inspired by the vibrant scenery, food, and friends around the Minneapolis campus. With the support of Mai's brother, Peter Do, they returned to the U of MN and established Pho Mai on May 21, 2020. Known for their delicious Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Mai has garnered recognition as the Best Vietnamese Restaurant in the Twin Cities by City Pages in 2017. In addition to their savory dishes, they also offer a premium Boba Tea and Mochi Donut cafe at their Eden Prairie location, and have plans to open the iconic Keefer Court Bakery in the Asia Mall in the fall of 2023.
