Robbinsdale Area School District serves the educational needs of students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district has an enrollment of more than 13,000 students and governs various elementary, middle and high schools, including Robbinsdale Cooper High School, Plymouth Middle School and Meadow Lake Elementary School. Its Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School is a language magnet program for students in grades kindergarten through five. The district also has an alternative high school, Highview Alternative Program, for students who have left a traditional high school program, then decided to return for a high school diploma. It offers a full selection of girls and boys sports, as well as more than 30 extracurricular activities that include chess club, yearbook and Lego League. Robbinsdale Area School District also offers a comprehensive community education program that serves residents from birth through retirement and includes an early childhood family center, family resource center, senior services, adult academic programs and enrichment classes. It is located in New Hope, Minn.
