Neighborhood Involvement Program, formed in the 1960s, offers community-oriented services for women, men and children. It provides a range of health care and social services that includes academic tutoring, mentoring, support groups, school liaison, after-school activities and service learning. The program serves families in need by finding community sponsors that can provide food and gifts during the holidays. Through its senior service unit, Neighborhood Involvement Program offers low-cost home maintenance services, such as routine housecleaning, seasonal jobs, lawn care, snow removal and minor repairs aimed at helping seniors. It provides monthly recreational opportunities for residents and socially isolated seniors. The program's office is located in Minneapolis.
