HistoryWhen the Village House was completely gutted and renovated, thoughtful attention was given to adding all the modern comforts while maintaining the original character of the house. One of the best features of the home is that each bedroom has a full, private bath so no one has to share. In addition, there is another half-bath right off the kitchen. The outdoor spaces are equally inviting, especially the patio and pergola which is surrounded by gardens and our favorite spot to enjoy wine-time while watching the sun set behind the bluffs. We especially love the exposed brick walls on the interior of the house and the high ceilings and tall windows. For over eight years, we operated the Village House as Winona's top-rated B&B. But after our family moved to a rural Wisconsin hobby farm in the summer of 2016, we decided to convert the Village House to a vacation rental to simplify our operations.
