Court of Appeals provides judicial services to citizens of Minnesota. The court hears appeals and reviews cases from district courts of the state. It was founded in 1983 and has a computerized case management system. The court issues a decision within 90 days after oral arguments. It also monitors the progress of every appeal to ensure that there are no unnecessary delays in processing cases and in releasing decisions. Its programs include alternative dispute resolution and bail bond agents. Its guardian program advocates and represents the interests of abused and neglected children in the court. Its children's justice initiative program works closely with the local juvenile courts, social services agencies, county attorneys, public defenders and court administrators and has collaboration with the Minnesota Judicial Branch and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. It is located in St. Paul, Minn.
