Jacob Orme, M.D., Ph.D., is a medical oncologist at Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Orme is a genitourinary medical oncologist and translational physician scientist who works in the clinic and the laboratory to make cancer care better for his patients. With an emphasis on advanced prostate cancer, Dr. Orme discovered the source and consequence of soluble PD-L1 in immunotherapy-resistant cancers as well as a novel biomarker "switch" in advanced highly-resistant prostate cancers. These discoveries have led to the development of multiple new therapeutics and clinical trials.
