Built in 1871 The Hormel Historic Home strives to preserve the Home and History of the George A. and Lillian Hormel Family. Today, it serves as a house museum and Peace Garden along with a 220 seat Carriage Hall Event Center. Our house museum is open to the public Tuesday-Friday 10am-4:00pm. Adults are $5 per person and children are free. We feature a kid-friendly tour and scavenger hunt.

Lovely place for a wedding. Attended one with around 80 guests and all the windows really give it a bigness while also keeping it intimate. Very nice staff.

Rice County Historical Society

The Rice County Museum of History houses historical displays, a genealogical research center, and exhibits on local businesses, people and topics. Exhibits include: Bishop Whipple, Grace McKinstry (artist), the Tilt-A-Whirl, Fleckenstein Brewery, and Bruce Smith (including a Heisman Trophy.) The museum also has a significant Native American Exhibit.
