Founded in 1900 as St. Joseph's Academy, Holy Redeemer School is a Catholic educational institution. The school enrolls students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school offers classes in religious studies, math, language arts, social studies and science. Its educational program also includes instruction in art, physical education, music, computer applications and technology studies. Holy Redeemer School additionally offers elective classes in foreign languages, nutrition, woodworking, knitting and scrapbooking for students in grades five through eight. The school provides tutorial, speech improvement and special education services for students with disabilities through Marshall Public Schools, which is a school system that governs several elementary, middle and high schools. Its facilities include a chapel, library, playground, music room, and science and computer laboratories. Located in Marshall, Minn., Holy Redeemer School organizes various cocurricular activities and events in volleyball, basketball, band, choir and theater.
