The Hinkly House Museum was built in 1892 by Mr. R.B Hinkly, then the Mayor of Luverne, as a home for his family. This historic four-story, twelve-room house is furnished and decorated with period items and is faced with locally mined Sioux Quaritzite. The Hinkly House was placed on the Register of the National Historic Sites on June 10, 1975.
