About Our Clinic We offer a full line of prescription and non-prescription veterinary diets including both Hills and Science Diet as well as treats, oral health products, hygiene products, leashes and collars. We also have large animal antibiotics, vaccines, dewormers, and other large animal medications. We have four general appointment exam rooms in which we do full physical exams, medical history, vaccinations, microchipping, and most other routine procedures. A veterinarian is dedicated to preventing, diagnosing, and treating animal health problems. Because their knowledge and training extends to a number of closely related areas, veterinarians are often involved in more than animal medicine and provide a wide variety of services in private practice, teaching and research, regulatory veterinary medicine, public health, private industry, and other specialized services. In order to earn a DVM ( Doctor of Veterinary Medicine ) medical degree, a person must generally complete at least eight years of college education. This includes a minimum of four years in an undergraduate degree program and four years in an accredited veterinary medicine program. A typical veterinary student spends about 4, 000 hours in classroom, laboratory, and clinical study. After receiving the DVM degree, veterinarians are required to continue their education by attending professional conferences, courses, and seminars on the latest scientific and veterinary medicine.
