Gregory L. Scallon, MD, was raised in central Iowa and trained throughout the Midwest. His undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University set him on the path toward orthopedic surgery. Dr. Scallon completed medical training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, residency at the University of Minnesota, and his Foot and Ankle Fellowship in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He and his wife, who is also an orthopedic surgeon, have two young boys. Dr. Scallon enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, biking, playing instruments, and woodworking. Dr. Scallon's primary clinical focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of lower extremity disorders. This includes malalignment, sports injuries, trauma, and fractures. This requires a personal connection between Dr. Scallon and his patients to understand their goals and find the best solution.
