Southern Lakes Park is tucked into a residential neighborhood on the southwest side of Inver Grove Heights. Away from major roads, Southern Lakes Park is well-suited for the children and young families that use it. It has a baseball field and a playground available for recreation. This park offers an archery range, baseball diamond, charcoal grills, basketball court, hiking trail, playground, a pond, rent-able sun shelter and a short walking path. The sun shelter building is available for rent half days (10 a.m.-4 p.m. or 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.) or full days (10 a.m. - 10 p.m.) to Eagan residents for as little as $46. It offers shelter for approximately 15-20 people.
