Longville Drive Up Location: The First National Bank North Longville Drive Up Location was brought to the Community after we received feedback that the area desired a more convenient banking location in addition to our office, which also offered longer hours. With our long history and experience in community banking we do everything possible to ensure that our customers get the best possible banking experience. First National Bank North History: In 1901 Ed I.P. Staede laid the foundation for The First National Bank of Walker when he imported $4,000.00 of stone and brick and built the first bank in Walker, Minnesota. The bank was chartered as a state bank and was opened in 1902 as Walker State Bank. Mr. Staede served as the bank's first President, Harry Brummond served as the bank's Vice-President and Fred Knellan was appointed Cashier. In November of 1906, the bank received approval for a National Bank Charter, then becoming the First National Bank of Walker.
