HistoryThe Willmar Lakes Area Convention & Visitors Bureau was formed in 1990. Since then, its partnership has grown to include the City of Willmar, City of Spicer, and the Kandiyohi County Campgrounds. In 2009, the CVB became the primary resource for travel destination information for all of Kandiyohi County.SpecialtiesThe Willmar Lakes Area Convention & Visitors Bureau offers unbiased information about the area's facilities, hotels, attractions and services. We assist visitors and meeting planners with: Site Selection: We'll assist you in finding the perfect meeting space and hotel rooms that best fit your group. Ideas: Our knowledge of the area's best attractions will help you organize arrangments for tours, functions, spousal programs and vacation plans. Media: We will help you connect with local media to promote your event. Promotions: Will use our connections to help you with special items for your group. Local Dignitary: Dignitaries are available to welcome your group to our area. We'll make the arrangements, a sure-fire way to start your convention off right.
