Brooklyn Park Operations and Maintenance is the department that plows the snow in the city of Brooklyn Park, Minn. The department is responsible for street maintenance, park maintenance, public utilities, recycling services and central services. The street maintenance division is responsible for approximately 252 miles of public streets, 102 miles of sidewalks, street lights and traffic signals, storm sewers, city-owned storm water ponds and out fall and other maintenance activities. To ensure safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing recreation areas, the park maintenance division is responsible for park turf and playfields maintenance, park buildings, shelters and playground equipment maintenance, park trail maintenance, hockey and pleasure ice rink maintenance, forestry and park facilities improvement projects.
