Arnold Greenberg and Charles Brotsky founded Bro-Tex in 1923 as the Minnesota Rag and Paper Stock Company. It supplied mixed wiping rags. Through acquisitions and expansions, the company added a fiber department and laundry department. Roger Greenberg, Arnold's son, purchased control of the company from the Brotsky family in 1957, and in 1960, changed the name to Bro-Tex. The wiper department added product lines, including non-woven materials, paper products, specialty wipers and absorbent products. The company offers more than 20 types of paper/nonwoven wipers and more than 50 types of cloth wipers. Its fiber division recycles more than 40 million pounds of textile waste every year. Bro-Tex maintains headquarters in St. Paul, Minn., and an office in Milwaukee, Wis.
