History
We first opened out doors in January of 2004 as a glass art school offering glassblowing. Later that year Fired Up! was established as a tuition-free, after-school program for teens offering glassblowing and glass beadmaking classes with fused glass following soon thereafter. Today we are a non-profit school with public access studio specializing is glass and metal. We teach glassblowing, glass fusing, glass beadmaking, welding, blacksmithing, as well and specialty classes. Fired Up! has become a nationally recognized program, but unfortunately due to lack of funding had to be suspended for the 2017/18 school year. This was the first year it did not run since the program was started in 2004. We are hoping to raise the funds and relaunch it Fall of 2018.
