Founded in 1904 by Frank J. Wasik, Wasik Funeral Home is currently celebrating its 108th year of service and fourth generation of family ownership. Through its long history, Wasik Funeral Home has never strayed from the integrity and principals the company was founded on over a century ago. By 1989, the Wasik Funeral Home turned its focus to Detroit 's neighboring city, opening the current Warren location in January of that year. Jerome F. Wasik, Sr., the president and inspiration of Wasik Funeral Home passed away in 1996, after 54 years of running the family business. His two sons succeeded him as owners of Wasik Funeral Home, and not long after, started planning the development of a second home in Shelby Township . Their project came to fruition in 2000, and on April 1 st of that year, a second Wasik Funeral Home began operation. Today, five Wasik family members spanning four generations are involved in the running and maintenance of the Wasik Funeral Homes.
