VC Web Design was starting in 1995 to meet the growing website needs of local business owners and corporations by providing web design and development of both full websites and applications. The company has expanded from exclusively web design to custom development, media capture (videography and photography), marketing and IT support. An average week at Visual Compass could involve building and designing multiple websites, application work, marketing scopes, social media management, photography session on site and a video shoot for the local university. As the services and employees have grown, Visual Compass moved out of their SPARKeast incubator space to their own storefront in Ypsilanti. In October of 2014, Visual Compass moved into their current location on Cross Street in Depot Town.
