The School of Public Health University of Michigan s Department of Biostatistics offers a range of educational and research programs. The department serves more than 150 students, as well as maintains a staff of over 90 individuals. It offers various masters and doctorate programs in the fields of science, public health, philosophy, clinical research design and statistical analysis. Department of Biostatistics also administers the Genomie Science Training Program, which includes the identification and mapping of human genes. It offers courses in statistical computing, generalized linear models, and probability and distribution theory. The department operates a journal club and also conducts seminars on several topics.
