Based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Roeper School is a coeducational day school for gifted and talented children. Established in 1941, the school is a nonprofit corporation governed by a 29-member board of trustees. The school enrolls more than 600 students in prekindergarten through grade12. Its lower school s curriculum includes language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, music, French, art and physical education. The middle school offers academic courses that include English literature, foreign languages, computers and fine arts and various interscholastic sports. Its upper school offers classes in English, history, calculus, biology, chemistry and physics. Roeper School provides a variety of athletic activities, such as soccer, cross country, basketball, track and tennis. The school is approved by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and Association of Independent Michigan Schools.
