The Restaurant Opportunities Center of Michigan (ROC Michigan) is a non-profit organization based in Detroit, MI. Founded in 2001 by restaurant workers displaced from the World Trade Center, ROC Michigan is dedicated to improving the lives of people working in the restaurant industry by advocating for economic stability, fair wages, and safe working conditions. With a diverse membership of over 65,000 workers, including women, people of color, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQIA community, ROC Michigan trains and develops the leadership of its members to bring about systemic change in their workplaces and public policy.
