Established in 1980, Radio One is the seventh largest radio broadcasting company in the United States. It primarily targets African-American and urban listeners. It also owns and operates more than 65 radio stations, including Reach Media, TV One, the Power and BlackAmerica. It reaches more than 14 million listeners every week. Additionally, it offers cable and satellite network services. It also operates African-American news and talk network on free radio and programs, news and talk channels and XM Satellite Radio. Radio One is headquartered in Lanham, Md., and has branch radio stations in Atlanta and Augusta, Ga., Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, N.C., Detroit, Mich., Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, Dallas and Houston.
