The Human Resources Department is responsible for the administration and maintenance of employee benefits and payroll. It administers employment-related policies and procedures, as well as coordinates labor and employee relations. Additionally, the department is responsible for hiring and recruiting new staff members and workers. It maintains and updates job descriptions and personnel files. The department also offers guidance in the areas of training and provides services to more than 110 employees. The Human Resources Department is a part of the government of the Charter Township of Plymouth in Michigan, which also operates fire, police, emergency management, and parks and recreation departments.
