Owosso Community Players The Owosso Players have provided live theater in Owosso since the 1950s. The Players are committed to educating and entertaining the Mid-Michigan area by presenting four productions a year during its nine month season. Other special workshops and productions are often scheduled throughout the summer and during the theater season. The central Michigan volunteer theater has grown over the years to encompass more of the community while moving from location to location. In 1967 they bought a church on M-71 between Owosso and Corunna. In the early 1990s, The Players purchased the Lebowski Center in downtown Owosso. The Building was destroyed by fire in 2007, and efforts are underway to raise the money necessary to rebuild. We strongly urge you to patronize and support community theatre, but also to participate. There are many ways you can become a part of this organization. Audition announcements for all productions are posted in Owosso's Argus Press newspaper, and on the web site. If you would like to act, direct, produce, or be involved with one of our productions, we welcome your involvement. The Players offer a tremendous opportunity for everyone and we would like to tap your talents by encouraging you to participate.
