As part of the international network of Waldorf schools, Oakland Steiner School is an independent, nonprofit school guided by the Waldorf philosophy: education is an art form that teaches children through immersion in the arts and through experiences interwoven with daily lessons.
Oakland Steiner students participate throughout the year in games, artwork and gardening. They learn to crochet and knit, sew and work with wood.
School tours are scheduled monthly. There are parent/child courses offered. Several seasonal events--such as the annual holiday bazaar--are open to the public.
