O.E. Dunckel Middle School's community mission is centered on providing a positive and supportive learning environment for its students from grades 7 to 9. Dunckel met Adequate Yearly Progress goals as defined by the federal No Child Left Behind Act and received an "A" composite grade on its State of Michigan report card. It has established a Positive Behavior Support program to improve student behavior and enhance the school culture. Dunckel also hosts a branch of LOC Federal Credit Union one day per week, operated by students who work with an employee to open and manage savings accounts.
