HistoryBell & Sons was founded in 1957 by Carl and Helen Bell as a distributor of Franklin dry roasted peanuts to bars and party stores in the Metro Detroit Area. The first warehouse was a corner of their garage on Royal Grand between Five and Six Mile Roads in Redford Township. In 1979 Carl and Helen retired and Bell & Sons continued to expand under the ownership of their son, Thomas and his wife, Christine. Steady growth was reflected in a 1300 sq. ft. addition to the Woodbine building in 1980, Gregory Bell (grandson) in sales in 1982, and additional trucks and office staff in 1987. In 1988 we moved to a new 8800 sq. ft. location at 26514 W. Seven Mile Road with computerization in 1989 and steady increases in sales, office and warehouse/delivery staffing. In 1996 presented an opportunity to purchase an adjoining 4800 sq. ft. building to help warehouse 5000 different products plus an expansion into foodservice equipment sales.SpecialtiesBar, Restaurant and Janitorial supplies and equipment.
