The Milan Public Library was founded in 1935 on the second floor of the old village hall now known as the Old Fire Barn, at County and Main streets. The library has been growing ever since, and today boasts 37,000 items and 4,000 cardholders. The library also holds events, such as story time for kids, and computer classes to help people with software and e-mail. There is also a genealogy room to help people research their family history.
