The Riverside Academy East is a charter school that is authorized by Global Educational Excellence and chartered by Central Michigan University. It provides educational and enrichment programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. The Riverside Academy East employs a staff of over 30 full-time, certified teachers, paraprofessionals, reading specialists, librarians, and art and music professionals. The academy organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as talent shows, art exhibitions, orientation days, storytelling competitions, grade level meetings and field trips. Established in 2003, the Riverside Academy East has an annual enrollment of more than 550 students and is located in Dearborn, Mich.
