Douglas Autotech Corporation was founded as Warner and Douglas Corporation in 1902, in Bronson, Mich., by Harry Douglas and a partner. Douglas was a friend of Henry Ford, who established Ford Motor Company, and had been supplying various kinds of automotive component parts to Ford, including electric component parts and steering columns. The company has been a manufacturer of various products that include automotive, electrical light switches, sockets, ash trays, residential hot water circulators, appliance switches, gasoline engines and vacuum cleaners. It also manufactures console shifters, furnace stokers, roller skates, electrical fence chargers, battery chargers, console radios and components and marine cylinders. Douglas Autotech Corporation is located in Hopkinsville, Ky.
