HistoryThe instructors of this dojo have worked with many people over the years but our single longest influence was Sensei Sherman Harrill, who was a direct student of the founder of the style, Shimabuku Tatsuo Sensei. We try to maintain his high standards in each class.SpecialtiesWe teach a traditional Okinawan karate style called Isshin-Ryu. While primarily a striker's art with strong punches and kicks, it includes pressure points, nerve centers, joint locks and traps, throws, traditional weaponry and some ground work.
