Established in 1964, Jackson Transportation Authority is a public transportation provider within Jackson County in Michigan. The company provides fixed route, demand response and contractual services to all residents of the county. In addition, it also acts as the Greyhound and Western Union Agent for Jackson. Apart from the traditional services, it also offers many special community related programs, such as Reserve-A-Ride, Ride and Shop, Advertising Bus program and special programs for the disabled people.
