Mary Jane Barnwell and Diane and Joe Brandonisio bought the tiny bookstore above Doud's Market in 1989 from Cliff Olson. We celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2015.

Specialties

We are a seasonal, general bookstore that specializes in regional books and friendly service. We're open from May through October and maintain a year round website, www.islandbookstore.com. Our hours range from 9 am through 11 pm depending on the season.
