History
The Historic Huron River INN once known as the Varney House built in 1860 burned down in 1899 then rebuilt in 1901 as the Rockwood Hotel until 1910 when it was renamed The Huron River INN and has remained that since. This Old Girl has a long local history and also known to be haunted with multiple sightings by many of employees and customers throughout the years, from the Woman in the Bonnet sitting at the Bar to the Man in the Top Hat and Black Coat seen in the basement and the Kids herd running down the hall upstairs in the old Hotel that remain today.
