Established in 1967, The Hekman Library offers a wide collection of books and information resources, including videos, DVDs, CDs and tapes to the public. Its special collection includes career resources, children's literature, government documents and rare periodicals. The Hekman Library also offers research database, e-journals, subject guides, magazines, newspapers and reference materials. Its collection also includes various types of story books, including nonfiction and best selling fiction books and novels. Additionally, it offers recourses on economic and business topics and trade information. The library arranges various workshops and programs for the children to improve their reading habits. The Hekman Library provides interlibrary loans to students and is located in Grand Rapids, Mich.
