History
In 2010 Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan celebrated 50 years of service to Lenawee, Monroe, and portions of Washtenaw and Hillsdale Counties. Since Goodwill relocated in 2009, we now have adequate space to increase our business initiatives and develop new job opportunities for the growing demand of the unemployed, particularly for people facing barriers. Since 2000, Goodwill has aggressively worked toward developing new business initiatives to create more jobs & revenue such as opening two new stores and enlarging another, beginning computer recycling, starting a secure document shredding service, and increasing other recycling opportunities. The increased space of our new headquarters has enabled Goodwill to contract new programs for adults with disabilities. Donated goods doubled with our new drive-up donation center, new industrial work stations were created, & services to special needs youth have doubled. We look forward to what may come of the next 50 years of service.
