Founded in 1995 to support after-school programming for local children, the Farmington-Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth and Families is a privately funded organization.
The foundation supports community organizations that benefit children and families. In 2006, the foundation partnered with the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan to provide financial support to a wider range of nonprofits.
Since 1995, the foundation has distributed nearly $500,000 in grants to such organizations as Boys and Girls Republic, after school programming for local middle-schoolers, Minority Student Achievement Network and Samaritan Counseling Center.
