Fairlane Alliance Church is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), a worldwide family of Christians that focuses on developing local churches in the U.S. and around the world. The church traces its roots to the 1880s, when founder A.B. Simpson formed a cross-denominational mission society to reach the poor and disenfranchised. Fairlane Alliance was established at its current location in the mid-1970s as a "church plant" of the Central Alliance Church of Detroit. Key to their mission is building "bridges of love and understanding" among the local Muslim population. The church services and music are contemporary. Children, youth and adult ministry activities are held weekly.
