Discover Preschool, located within the Highland United Methodist Church, is a play-based pre-school whose aim is to allow children to discover the world themselves in a nurturing, enriching atmosphere. The school has programs for children ages 2-5, and the classes are separated by year. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged, and the "Terrific Two's" class is designed for children accompanied by a parent or caregiver. It also offers summer camp and features educational field trips. Social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth are all emphasized, and pre-schoolers partake in story time, music class, Spanish education and pre-math among other subjects taught in a fun way to prepare children to be great learners in kindergarten and beyond.
