Founded in 1997, Detroit R&D provides products that aid research related to environmental health, hypertension and cancer. Its products are used in the determination and examination of biologically active eicosanoids, prostaglandin H synthases, cytochromes, glutathione S-transferases, oxidative stress, Xenopus microarray, wound healing and deoxyribonucleic acid damage. The company offers immunoassay kits, male and female rat microsomes and cytosol and antibodies for drug-metabolizing enzymes. The company has developed and holds more than 10 patents and has funding for several active and completed projects for the National Institutes of Health. Detroit R&D s laboratories are located at the Metropolitan Center for High Technology, which is located in downtown Detroit.
