Detroit Archers is the oldest club of its kind in Michigan. Led by President Ron McLaughlin, it boasts three outdoor ranges, including a broadhead course of 28 targets of varying distances and shooting positions, a field course of 14 stations with distances ranging from 5-80 yards and a bale target range, from 20-65 yards. Detroit Archers also has a 30-yard indoor range with open shooting and a clubhouse with refreshments and a TV that often has sports on. The club is open seven days a week to members and offers programs for youth leagues, competitive target leagues, bowhunter leagues and special shoots on weekends.
