Dearborn Public School District offers educational instruction to students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district governs various elementary, intermediate, middle, special and high schools, including the Geer Park Elementary, River Oaks Elementary, Woodworth Middle, Edsel Ford High and Michael Berry Career Center. It is governed by a seven-member board of education. The day-to-day operation of the district is carried out by more than 2,000 instructional and noninstructional employees lead by the superintendent. Its high school students have an opportunity to participate in a dual-enrollment program with the Henry Ford Community College and the University of Michigan. Dearborn Public School District also offers advancement placement courses and provides services for children with special needs. Located in Dearborn, Mich., the district has an enrollment of more than 17,000 students.
