This court has served the city of Dearborn since 1970 and handles over 70,000 cases annually. Judges William C. Hultgren, Mark W. Somers and Richard Wygonik serve the court, addressing cases ranging from civil suits to criminal and drug cases.
The court expanded several times throughout its existence, including an expansion from two to three judges approved by the Michigan legislature in 1990 to address a growing caseload. Then, the court itself was expanded in the '90s, and now includes two courtrooms, judge's chambers, a law library, prosecutor offices, conference rooms and jury assembly areas.
